Imperial and Royal Order of Saint Stanislas
Established on May 7, 1765 by the King of Poland Stanislaw August Poniatowski. The Order was revived in 1815 by Emperor Alexander I the Blessed for the Kingdom of Poland and finally included in the system of Russian Orders in 1831 by Emperor Nicholas I . At the same time, the form of the Order’s insignia was significantly changed. The Order has three classes.
Members of the Russian Imperial House are hereditary cavaliers of this Order and receive the insignia of the first class together with the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called: Grand Dukes at their Holy Baptism, and Princes of the Blood Imperial upon reaching their dynastic majority.

Order Feast Day: April 25/May 8.
